Cracked windscreen from washing car
Good day
I installed a new windscreen at PG glass Standerton in June 2023 after my old windscreen got damaged by an owl while driving at night, my old windscreen has never cracked ever since I bought the car more than 6 years ago. the new PG glass that was installed in June 2023, I paid R2500 in cash got cracked in Dec 2023 only 6 months of it being installed. the crack happened when I was washing the car during the day. it came from the bottom of the windscreen all the way up while I was washing the car, that was on the 12 of December
I took the car to PG glass Standerton on 18 of December 2023 they said the windscreen must be removed and taken to head office for inspection so I must bring the car on the 19th of Dec so that they removed it and the car stays with them for 5 days because that's the normal time for windscreen checks from head office they said. Today on the 28 of December I called them to check if my windscreen is installed and they said no because head office hasn't given them a go ahead to install the windscreen. the said an alternative would be to buy a new windscreen while waiting for head office to give a go ahead.
This is after the 5 days I have waited for them to respond but they didn't until I called them and to check them and they said I must pay instead.
I would like PG Glass to refund me my full amount and take their glass.

It has been a month now since I logged a complaint for my cracked windscreen and PG glass has not given me fully feed back on the matter.
The only feed back they told me is that the claim is rejected even though they had not followed proper procedures of glass inspection because their plant where they take the glass for fully proper inspection was closed during December holidays. I have to pay for a new glass and get my car back since they had it stored in their premises for two weeks and my claim was rejected. However the full inspection was not done.
I called Standerton PG glass and told them that I want the windscreen to be taken back for proper inspection and they must give me feedback on email which I provided to them as *** but up to this day no one has emailed me to give me feedback.
The told me I must pay for a new glass which I had no money for and they said I must pay in a deposit of R1000 in order to get glass installed and get my car back and the rest of the money must be paid in monthly installments.
