All I want for Christmas is a rear widow

Due to unknown circumstances my driver's side passenger window, of my 2006/7 Opel Corsa, completely shattered. I decided to drive to PG Glass Menlyn, the same day, to see what they can do for me. On arrival they said they would not be able to assist me today due to working hours, which was fair. However, they said I should bring in my car on Monday. Thus I made arrangements with a friend to take my car in on Monday. At 3 o'clock, on the same day, my friend contacted me, to tell me, that PG Glass had ordered a 2012 model window for my car. When I arrived to ask how the incorrect order happened the response I got was "It was nobody's fault exactly, but I’ll personally sort it out tomorrow there is a window for your car in stock, they will phone me when they have the window.” which was fair we all make mistakes. I then had to make another arrangement with a different friend to take my car in the next day. I was anticipating a phone call the next morning, however, with no avail. I ended up contacting them myself at 11:30 am, I was then told to bring my car the window has just arrived. I contacted my friend to take my car in. An hour later my friend contacted me, to tell me, "They don't have the window, the one that was promised to me was the last one in stock, in South Africa, and it was used on another client's car. It will take 21 working days to import." it goes without saying that I was quite disappointed. However, they then offered to put a Perspex sheet in place, at R280.00 at my own cost, in the interim. I then worked out in 21 working days it would be Christmas Day/ Boxing Day. I then decided to contact PG Vanderbijl, because that is where I would most likely be over the Christmas period. They asked for my cars VN number (for the first time) to see if they could get a window for me and then I told them the above story, they then said "we have a window for you in stock when can you come?", I asked them whether or not they could deliver it in Menlyn for a fitment, they said yes. I asked them to please liaise with the Menlyn branch. When I arrived, that day, to pick up my car they were busy fitting in the Perspex sheet, I then asked about the glass from the Vaal. They then said "according to the part number, from PG Glass Vanderbijl, this part won't fit in my car, but I can come tomorrow for the fitment in case.” I then asked how this is possible PG Glass Vanderbijl used my VN number. They rep**** “We don't know, but the part number is wrong". I told them due to work obligations I can only bring in my car on Saturday, which they said wasn't a problem.

On Friday morning one of my friends got a sms, on their phone, telling them my car's fitment is scheduled for Saturday morning. I decided to drive past on Friday to confirm whether or not this sms was meant for me. On arrival they said to me “we may have some bad news for you, this window appears to be too small" so we visually checked it and it turned out to be too small. I then asked how this is possible it was quoted from the VN Number surely it should be correct and all the documentation attached to the window matched up with the details of my car, they then rep**** "we don't know, this doesn't usually happen". It goes without saying Saturday's fitment was postponed. The manager then arrived to ask what was the problem so I explained it to him, he then showed me his personal email stating that my window that he has personally ordered for me would arrive in Menlyn on the 8th/ 9th of December. I also asked the manager could they please at least vacuum clean my car, there was glass in the nooks and crannies that I couldn’t clean by hand. He was shocked to find out that my car hadn’t been cleaned yet after me being there on 2 separate occasions. After that discussion I was never contacted by PG Glass Menlyn again.

I phoned them on the 9th to confirm whether or not my window has arrived. They said "I must come tomorrow for the fitment". I arrived the next morning at 8 am where I was helped relatively quickly. However, 90 minutes later after waiting they informed me that "my window was never there and they can only help me next week". I told them that I’m going on leave soon and I won't be able to check in my car. They then finally offered to come to my place of work and do the fitment, after I told them all my friends are on holiday and nobody can assist me to get my car there. So they verbally confirmed to do the fitment on either the 12th, 13th or 14th they said they would contact me on the 12th to confirm the details.

On the 12th of December, after no communications from PG Glass, I contacted them at 3:30 pm to find out what was happening, they answered "sorry we had a very busy day we will call you in 10 minutes.” Once again with no avail. So, the next morning I contacted them again and they apologised for not phoning me back. They then said the manager will contact me soon to make arrangements with PG Glass Wonderboom. Till this day I’m still waiting for the call.

While this was all happening on the 13th PG Glass Vanderbijl, on their own accord, contacted me to see if I was happy and if I came right. When I told them the story they were completely shocked and told me to bring the car there they can help me, to quote them, “PG Glass in Menlyn are lying to me and I won’t be helped this year, I should come to Vanderbijl". PG glass Vanderbijl contacted me via whatsapp on my private phone asking for pics of my car in order to get the ball rolling on this fitment. Shortly after the whatsapp communications they said that they are booking my car in for a fitment on the 20th December in Vanderbijl. Where I hope to finally get my car sorted out so that I can hopefully go on leave with my car.
