PURE**** (pronounced Peugeot) Automobile

<p>The build quality and back up service is atrocious!!!I had 4 major breakdowns in 4 months.</p> <p>My vehicle is 5 years old, odometer109,000 km and serviced regularly.</p> <p>In April ,I had to replace my outlet tank again which was 9 months after the initial replacement of same part. </p> <p>In June 2017 ,I replaced the plastic throttle body at a cost of R8000 . I think this is the only automobile company that makes plastic throttle bodies.</p> <p>In June 2017, the inlet valves were blocked which created sluggish acceleration and high fuel consumption. Now this is very unusual for any automobile to have clogged inlet valves given that it has such low mileage. I complained about this vehicle performance all of last year during service intervals but peugeot never really investigated the cause.I was quoted R8400 just to clean the valves.</p> <p> </p> <p> In July 2017- Vehicle would not go into gear. I liaised with Peugeot workshop manager for assistance for more than a week because I could not tow the vehicle to the dealer as the vehicle could not move. After escalating to dealer principle,technicians eventually came to my premises and disengaged vehicles gears using a *****driver and drove vehicle to their workshop. During investigation , it was found that the gear cable was faulty and needed replacement. It will take 3 weeks to order part from France (18 July - 7 August 2017), you are not seeing things - 3 weeks to order an existing part and have that part placed on an aircraft and delivered to SA. There was no offer of a courtesy car as there are none available to customers Given the country’s infrastructure and poor public transportation- I’m without reliable transport (not that the Peugeot 508 vehicle falls into that category) </p> <p>I am sharing this unfortunate ,and surely not an unique Peugeot customer experience , to highlight the lack of customer centric servicing model and poor vehicle build quality that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Shame on you PURE**** a.k.a PEUGEOT.</p>
