Poor service PSA

Sent car in for repair to Peugeot Centurion on 21 May 2018 with a faulty clutch (2012 Peugeot 3008, 1.6 Vti Active). Car was assessed and clutch issue confirmed (go figure). Got quotation, agreed to repair. Was subsequently informed that there were no parts for the vehicle in the country and that parts were on backorder. asked how long this would take and was told it usually takes about 2-3 weeks. Asked for a courtesy vehicle. declined due to my car being. Cue numerous emails back and forth between myself and Peugeot centurion, where they couldn't tell me when the parts would be arriving. I don't have a second vehicle, so had hired a car in the interim. Come today (18 June 2018), after lots of back and forth and some spicy commentary on Twitter, I finally get an ETA...06 July 2018! And still a total refusal to assist with a courtesy vehicle. Vehicle rental thus far has cost me in excess of R10000. add another 3 weeks to this and I'm looking at a cost in excess of R18000. The elay will cost me more than the actual repair (Quoted at around R11500)! And all I've gotten out of Peugeot? "We apologise for the inconvenience" Because 8 weeks and R18000 is merely an "inconvenience". What they call customer service has effectively been a tickbox exercise. lets give this idiot an ETA so he can get lost. No genuine effort to recognise the financial losses I've been forced to incur, no attempt to discuss ways to offset the financial consequences of their ineffectual parts supply chain through offering a courtesy vehicle, nothing! Just an apology, an ETA and a statement saying "All I can do from our side is to advise you of the ETA Mr Bhana". Just a shockingly dismal approach to client service.

Trust me folks, if your Citroen or Peugeot vehicle (and you can include Opel soon) is out of warranty; you don't exist as far as PSA is concerned You have been warned. My next vehicle, I wont be looking further than VW or Toyota, hijacking-prone as they are...As good as these French vehicles are, PSA's aftersales service (despite all the promises they made and documented when Citroen left the country) and pathetically poor parts supply pipeline are just not worth it...
