peugeot lack of service

My wife and I sold orr house in Knysna and decided to do a road trip before settling again.

I have a 2012 Peugeot 308 turbo.

We left on the Wednesday 25 Jan.On Tues ! Feb we were at Addo when the car beeped and displayed "engine faulty get repaired". I phone Peugeot Port Elizabeth they advised they could only look at the car the following Tues, fully booked. I could'nt drive the car so I took it into Peugeot where they reiterated only next Tuesday. I had to hire a car, never offered a courtsey car. I phoned 3 times on the Thursday without any one phoning back. Eventually I got hold of the workshop manager who told me nothing had happened On the Friday he informed me that they had decected the faults and ordered the parts ,to arrive Tues latest. They would have the car ready by Wed as they needed the space.

I phoned late Wednesday to be told only some of the parts arrived. When I asked why he rep**** "don't know" I asked if they had queried this and he said he was going to !!!!!!

I phoned Peugeot Customer care who were no help. They confirmed the parts had only been ordered on Wednesday and would arrive Friday.

Friday PE phoned to confirm the parts had arrived and they had REBOOKED it for Tuesday. What about Monday------ no they were full. My car has been their for 2 weeks and not touched. I am hireing a car and instead of touring am stuck in PE paying for accommodation!!!!!

I eventually got the car back on Wednesday. 2weeks and 1 day later.

The attitude of staff incl customer care was putrid. I intend getting rid of the Peugeot

Incidentally I had a similar experience at the George (Eden) branch.

Rob Wyley.
