Peugeot Isando forcing their customers to pay for misdiagnoses

My car started overheating about 2 weeks ago and i towed it to Peugeot Isando because the temperature was too high and it was complaining about the engine. After a day or 2 i received call from the Peugeot service department informing me that they have identified the issue with my car and that it needed a new gusket, thermostat and other parts related to fixing the overheating problem. And the total cost was R5300

I gave them the go ahead to fix the car and was supposed to pick it up the following week on a Wednesday. They didnt say anything until in the afternoon when i gave them a call to inform them i will be coming to collect the car, it was only then i was told that they had actually misdiagnosed my car and needed to strip the engine and determine the actual problem.

I got very furious because this sort of issue was happening for the second time at the same dealer, especially because they are expecting me to pay for the work they did on my car even when they car is no different from when i took it there...i still cant drive my car and i must still part ways with R5000?????

I politely asked them to please take out their new parts and put my car back to the same condition i brought it in and they agreed on condition that i will be paying them for labour which amounts to....guess what...R5000.

How on earth am i expected to pay R5000 for the mistakes they made on my car and when i refuse to do that ,they claim that i owe them R5000 for labour.....is it even legal to charge for the services you didnt provide? Because technically, they didnt do anything to my car. Its not my fault they dont have qualified people to do the job.

I want my car back and theres no way in hell im paying for something i didnt get!!
