Peugeot Agency - A disappointment as always

In 2023 took my 208 Puretech 1.2 for a service for 75 000KM and everything was fine. This year the car has reached a 90 000KM engine-overall service. I took it in for the engine-overall and it was still under service plan and warranty. Problems after problems began after my car was taken in for an engine-overall. Some things you notice after you've taken a car and drove it for atleast 1 day or 2. Sounds started coming out from the engine and it was irritating.

1. When the aircorn is turned ON, sounds were coming out from the engine. The mechanic said it was the gearbox and it needs replacement. It was replaced with a new gearbox but I wasn't 100% satisfied with small noises, even though they were low and the mechanic has test driven the car. That's why I said some things take time to show up and I didn't take too long to return the car back to them.

2. When I took back the car to them, I was told about the worn out engine mountings. They order only 1 of the 3 and when I drove back home after they've replaced it, the sound was still there when I move with gear 1 & 2.

3. I told them it was the wrong mounting, I wonder how can the mechanic get that one wrong 🙈. Vehicle went out of factory warranty, I replaced the 2 remaining engine mount from my own pocket.

4. I intend to leave the car at home because of a new "Car Vibration" and "Tapping sound" from the engine. And it's not even 6 months warranty for repairs..

5. Last but not least - I'm requested R10 000 for gearbox stripping labor and R22 000 for Clutch + Flywheel

This Peugeot is a big disappointment, a car of 90 000KM shouldn't be having such major problems if the work was done by a professional
