Peugeot 308, 63 000km engine failure.

I have a Peugeot 308 with 63 000 km on the clock. The engine has failed, and needs to be replaced. The vehicle is out of warranty. After doing some research online this seems to be a common problem with the 1.2 Puretech engine. Peugeot has passed the buck and has quoted in excess of R200k to replace the engine.

I have requested a call from someone in management to no avail.

Peugeot be warned, next week i will collect my vehicle from the dealer and have it wrapped as follows This car has done 63000 km the engine only lasted 4 years, Peugeot takes no responsibility for a known problem. The vehicle will be branded and i will park it at the busiest intersections in JHB.

Good luck selling your vehicles after people are aware that their is a problem with these engines and you can throw your car in the bin after 63000 km, because the cost to repair it more than its value.
