I used to love my Peugeot...

Booked my Peugeot 308 for minor repairs at Peugeot Tygervally on the 22nd of April, got told they only have a booking available on the 10th of May, which is almost 3 weeks later. Very well, this I accepted.

Took the vehicle in early morning on the 10th of May and at 15:00 that afternoon, still no feedback from the service centre. Contacted them, got told the vehicle has not even been looked at. Requested to speak with the dealer principle.

Only got a call from the service centre manager after 17:00. He vowed to check the vehicle himself the next day. Got the vehicle back the next day with everything being repaired and they did not even charge me for labour. How nice, I thought. Maybe I was too harsh.

Alas, less than 3 weeks later, my vehicle starts to leak oil, which it never did before taking the car to Peugeot Tygervalley. A few days later, the car suddenly loses all of it's oil in dramatic fashion and I am stuck on the side of the road. Had the vehicle towed to Peugeot Tygervalley the next day and spoke personally to the service centre manager. This was on Tuesday the 31st of May.

I was promised prompt service. By Thursday the 2nd of June, I had no response from anyone at Peugeot Tygervalley. I contacted their service centre and got told they only start diagnostics on towed in vehicles 3 to 5 days after they arrive, but they promised to look at the vehicle still on the same day.

Keep in mind all this time I am paying for a rental vehicle to get to work and back home, whilst my vehicle sits at Peugeot, awaiting their attention.

By 14:00 the next day (Friday the 3rd of June) I have still not had any response. So I phone the dealership and ask to speak with the dealer principle directly, but got told he is busy in meetings, so I left a detailed complaint with the receptionist and she promised that he would phone me back that day still.

And guess what?!

At 16:30 that Friday, a service centre representitive contacts me to tell me that my timing chain and some seals has to be replaced, which is going to cost me almost R2000.00! I tell him that I am very sorry, but I feel that the oil leak issue is as a result of their neglicence during my vehicle's earlier visit to Peugeot Tygervalley and that I do not believe in coincidence and that I need to speak to the dealer principle ASAP!

The whole weekend goes by and still no response from the dealer principle. Now we get to today (Monday the 6th of June). I have now given up. I contacted the service centre this morning and instructed them to carry out the repairs, which I feel I should not have to pay for. But I have no choice.

All this time I am still paying for a rental vehicle and it is costing me a lot of money.

The service centre rep said that he would get the dealer principle to still contact me. It is now 15:45 and I have received a call from the service centre to say that my vehicle is ready and that my total invoice is R2000.00.

Still no call from the dealer principle.

I will go and collect the vehicle tomorrow and pay for the repairs, only to drive the vehicle straight to a Toyota

dealership and trade it in for one of their vehicles. Even if I will be losing out on the trade-in.

This has been the worst service delivery experience I have ever encountered.
