failed cambelt

i had to have my car taken to peugeot east london after the timing belt failed after 4 years and 69000km and now i have been informed that my portion of the account is R8852 yet i have had it serviced by them every time it was due. on time. on the warranty claim forms kempston group i found countless spelling errors and my mileage was completely wrong basically saying that i had only done 6000km. the cause on the form referred to the dimesions of the cylinder head bolts which is impossible. as the timing belt must have failed because of a water pump bearing or tensioner. furthermore the workshop manager told me they conducted a compression test which would involve cranking the engine causing further damage to the valves if the timing belt had failed.
