DON'T buy a PEUGOT if you want peace of mind
I am very disappointed in Peugot in general and in two Peugot dealerships specifically.
Peugot Ruimsig
My disappointment with this branch is two fold. Firstly in the middle of April we took the car in for a service and afterwards, the lady who was assisting us (Janique), told us that there were parts missing and that she would call us in a couple of days. 3 weeks passed and she just didn't bother to call us. When we asked her, she said: "You must understand that I am the only service person here". I think that's ridiculous.
Then the car started making noises, and we took it in. Peugot Ruimsig concluded that this was a shock related problem.
We waited about two week and still not resolution. Then suddenly Peugot Ruimsig told us that as from 1 June, they would no longer be a Peugot dealership. They then told us to go to Peugot Northcliff.
Peugot Northcliff
At Peugot Northcliff, they assessed the car again and concluded that this was a shock related problem (what a shocker!!!).
They then told us that we must come and fetch the car and that it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get the parts in from overseas.
- They did not assist us in terms of getting a courtesy car - They did not even give us proof that the part has been ordered - Just a very impersonal approach that does not seem to appreciate that this car is needed to get to work and take children to and from school
Very pathetic service.
Peugot SA as a whole
It's just ridiculous that Peugot still expects its clients to wait for up to 6 weeks (in this day and age). They clearly have ridiculous inventory management systems and I really regret buying this car.
I have experience driving VW, Toyota and BMW and have never had this problem.
Peugot, I demand a better resolution to this problem!! You people clearly don't understand that we are human beings and need our vehicle to do our daily activities

I was contacted by a lady called Belinda Masimini. Very cold and uncaring person. She has now said that it will take up to 11 weeks for my part to arrive. Peugot Ruimsig said 8 weeks, Peugot Nortcliff said 6 weeks and now Peugot SA is saying 11 weeks. These guys just don't have a clue. You will see many complaints about government departments delivering poorly to citizens, but I think a company like Peugot is far far worse than the public sector. At least with the public sector, I know that if I go to home affairs, there is one timeline regardless of which branch I go to.
When I complain that 11 weeks is too long for us to wait, Belinda simply said that she is sorry, that is just how long it takes for the parts to come. Belinda, how pathetic of you. How can you be proud of that? How can it be normal that we have to wait for 11 weeks before the part arrives?
What is worse is that they simply refuse to organise a courtesy car for us, Belinda is now lying, saying that the car is drivable.
Peugot Ruimsig strongly advised us not to drive the car saying that it will become more damaged if we drive it.
WE DEMAND A COURTESY CAR PEUGOT.
Belinda and the rest of the people there at Peugot SA are sitting pretty driving their cars to work every day. What about us? We thought we were buying a quality car where the car manufacturer, clearly we were fooled
AND HAVE SOME PRIDE, TREAT YOUR CLIENTS WELL. 11 WEEKS IS SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE
