car damaged under dealership care

The vehicle was taken in for maps update. A check- in status of the car was done and a document was signed confirming that everything was okay and functional other than the maps that needed updating.

We get contacted to say we need to pay X amount to fix the passenger window which was no longer working. They claimed that they noticed that it wasn’t working when they took the car for testing after installing the map updates. Two weeks later, they are telling us that the driver’s window is also not working and it has nothing to do with them, they will not cover the costs to repair. This is a very straightforward matte, the windows were working when the car was handed over to the dealer, they somehow stopped working while in the care of the dealer, they are therefore responsible for the repair costs but blatantly refuse to repair them and say it is not their responsibility.

We have not had the car for close to a month now and the longer it remains with them, more damage is taking place.

We need the windows fixed. Period.
