Absolutely ********** Services - Peugeot, Pinetown, KZN

On Monday, 01.08 my fiancee DROVE his Peugeot 308T into the Peugeot in Pinetown dealership. I say DROVE in capital letters because it is unbelivable how after your so-called mechanics worked in the vehicle it was not able to start! The car was booked in for a misfire and lack of power. We were advised that the turbo solenoid valve was faulty and replaced. We were then advised the timing chain kit needed to be fitted as a result of the timing chain being stretched. My fiancee was then called in to have a look at the 'discovery' that 3 valves were broken and 8 others were bent. We gave the go ahead to replace the cylinder head, valves and its components. On collection of the vehicle we were advised the car was showing a permanent fault on the turbo, which also needed to be replaced. Which BTW, was replaced in 2013.

From the onset we advised the branch to mark the car as priority as my fiancee was travelling to CT on 27.08 to start a new job. It' been a month and we have not received the car back or a firm date when it will be repaired. Your branch has advied they pick up the cost of replacing the head and all its components. WHY?? Because the damage was caused by them. The inconvenience of not having a car for a month was not even compensated with a courtesy vehicle. After much deliberation, your dealer principle agreed to hire a car for him travel to CT and vehicle hire costs and getting my car to CT would be split 50/50. Why should we fit a bill due to incompetence? My fiance was shot in an attempted hi-jacking on 08.08. Twice in the arm and he suffered a broken shoulder, which your team are well aware of. We comminucated that we would need a decent car, because of his injuries and in terms of size as he was transporting all his belongings. We were arranged a Totoya Etios. Is this a car dealership? Do they know what is a Toyota Etios? We had to leave a sizeable amount of his belongings behind and will now incur further charges to transport it down to CT. Most importantly, the vehicle had no support for his fractured, and wounded arm. No empathy or customer service whatsoever! Its actually quite appaling. I had to put together a 'make-shift' centre console with boxes. Which BTW, his Peugeot does have). I have had to borrow R9000 becasue it was so unexpected and we did not have the funds on hand when we went to the car hire place.

We are both in the market to purchase new vehicles and I can assure you that we will never consider purchasing Peugeots again. I am the Chief Buyer of one of SA's biggest plastic manufacturing companies and I have never had to deal with such inexperienced, *********** and unebelivable people! I hope that you use the money of *********** loyal customers to atleast train your staff and/or hire staff with some degree of professionalism and knowledge of what they are doing. You can be sure that more people will hear about this - especially how empathetic your team was to him under the circumstances.

"One customer well taken care of is worth more than R10 000 advertising.
