Disgusted with PETport

Thinking of using Petport? Think again! My experience with Petport has been nothing short of absolute disgust! I moved to the UK, but prior to that, I arranged that they send over my cat as soon as she would be allowed to travel, having done the Rabies vaccine and Blood tests as required. She was booked into their cattery and was due to be flown out to the UK at 6 weeks later. Due to Covid, unfortunately, her flight was cancelled, but another flight was confirmed for a fortnight later. My cat and her papers had now been in their care for 8 weeks. A day before she was supposed to fly, Petport phoned me to tell me that her vaccination certificate is not in order, that she couldn’t fly, and that the whole process of vaccination, blood tests and waiting period of 4 months would have to be done again!!!! Firstly, it was their duty to confirm all paperwork was in order when they first received these. When questioned, they accepted NO responsibility for their error whatsoever, saying I was responsible as I had vaccinated my cat before I had accepted their quote?! How ridiculous! Then came the matter of the money. I had paid top dollar to get my cat on a flight and paid well in advance for this. Petport then took 4 weeks to refund the money for the flight that never happened, after begging, pleading, and sending numerous emails to the effect. I only got feeble answers such as “it is being approved”. I am utterly disgusted with their level of service and I will not recommend them to anyone, in fact, I will discourage anyone and everyone! The anxiety and frustration they have caused our family is beyond words. I should have taken to heart the other bad reviews on hellopeter.com concerning this company!

Dear Eve, we are deeply saddened by the understanding of your Miley's relocation.  We have stated the importance of traveling your Fur Baby according to regulations set by airlines, governments and State Vets. We understand this is traumatic for your family, however the welfare of Miley is paramount

In our communications with the rescue, they maintained that Mileys vaccine was administered by a registered vet. After we requested the letter for final submissions did they admit that it wasn't administered by a registered vet. Had the rescue been honest from the beginning we could have redrawn.

Eve we sincerely apologize for the stress, delays, restrictions experienced during your journey. Please understand that Miley is important to our team. The back and forth with the Rescue and confirming vaccinations added additional stress to this relocation. We were simply following processes to make

sure that Miley would travel safely within regulations and guidelines set by the governing bodies for safe traveling for AVI(live animals).
