Disgusting
The website seemed to have the nicest things for pets but upon further browsing I saw they sell shock collars. I'm not one for being a loud mouth or activist on animal rights, but I don't know about you, my dogs are my children. In the description it says to keep the collar away from children. Why do you find it okay to shock dogs and not human children? How do you call yourself pet hero and then proceed to sell products that harm pets? Because in the description it also states it can cause damage to your pet. It's disgusting.

Thanks for this comment and apologies for this belated reply. As a vet myself, who has had to use one of these collars on my own animal, I can let you know that we will certainly not sell products on the PetHero website which will harm animals. My daughter has a beautiful little Yorkshire Terrier, with the big name of Victor. We have two access gates to our property. Victor is very curious by nature and managed to escape from our property "to go and explore the big world" outside our property a number of times after contractors left our gates open, and also once or twice when we were leaving the property ourselves, sneaking our next to the car as we passed through the gate and was waiting for the electronic gate to close. We were VERY lucky that Victor was not hit by a car because we live next to two busy roads in Johannesburg. After trying several options, including the help of a professional animal behaviour specialist, and not having success, we reluctantly decided that the collar may be the only hope to save this little dog's life. It worked like a charm. You can use different settings on the collar and at the lowest setting, it is similar to experiencing a bit of fright or feeling a little pinch. This was enough to keep Victor away from the gates. I am quite convinced that it literally saved his life. As vets, we often see animals which are run over by motor vehicles and it breaks my heart to think, that in many cases it could have been prevented. However, in certain cases where the animal will simply not stay in the property regardless of whatever you try, this kind of collar may be a last resort to save such an animal's life. It is an absolute last resort.
