Poor Workmanship

Just 6 weeks after the job ( which carried a written gurantee on cement and plaster work) the paint and plaster started cracking and is now falling off. After numerous calls the company eventually sent the same contractor (Mike) that worked on the building to assess the work, this was approximately 7 weeks after my first call to lodge a fault. Mike's response was that he will have someone get back to me the very next day. No surprise, no one called. After an additional 2 weeks I got a hold of Johan,the person who originally assessed the property and quoted before the work could be done. He was extremely rude,he kept screaming at me and interrupting me while I was speaking. During one of his outbursts a comment he made was that it was plain to see that there were structural problems with the building from the very beginning. My question to Johan was, if it was plain to see why did he not bring it to my attention prior to taking the job and if he knew what the problem was why did permatex not take the proper course of action to fix it. His response was," I won't argue with people like you." I'm not entirely sure what "people like you" meant, but find it interesting that prior to getting the job ,Johan was very eager to return phone calls, respond to enquiries and take money,from people like me. Give Pernatex a miss. Permatex has no after sales service and the guarantee holds no value. Other contractors have looked at the property and have found no structural fault, it was just poor work manship,from permatex.
