We have so many community members who cannot afford to get vaccinated at the locations sent to them via sms. I for one got my sms to be in Khayelithsa , I have never been to Khayelitsha and checked where was my nearest site. To my suprise Pelican Park Day Clinic was listed as a vaccination site. I was ever so happy as the day clinic is a stone throw away from my house, only to be dissapointed by being informed they only do the people on their list and I will have to go to the site I got in my sms. I ended up going to Hanover Park Day Hospital where they assisted me without any problem. I spend R100 for someone to to take me and bring me home. This week I have to go for my second jab once again I have to pay someone as Pelican Park Day Clinic will not assist if I am not on their list to be vaccinated for the day.
