Unexplainable meter billing from PEC

I run a small hairdresser, using four lights, two small handheld hairdryers, and a geyser which is switched on for 30 minutes once a day, as well as a small radio.

When I'm very busy I usually get a bill ranging from R800 to R1000. May and June was quiet and I had no business whatsoever, but the electricity bill was R1250. I could not understand because how can I get a huge bill when I'm doing no business, but get billed R800 for bussier months.I emailed PEC Nicky and Khakhi in accounts logging a complaint and they couldn't give me an explanation on why the electricity was so high

On the 12th they sent me an sms that electricity is already been disconnected for non payment of R452.

Today, I sent someone to make payment of R452 that was still outstanding, and stoffels from PEC advised me he's here to disconnect the electricity again.(which wasn't disconected on the 12th as was said). I explained to him that it's been paid I was just waiting for the proof of payment as it was paid today as I had to save up money to be able to pay the rest of the electricity I shortpayed, but he insisted on putting the electricity off and on again so that they can charge me the reconnection fee although it was already paid.

I asked him to explain how can I get billed so high for the electricity as I have nothing that I used thatcan use so much electricity. He couldn't give me an explanation, and he was urged to switch off the electricity and on again. I told him to wait for the the proof of payment as he was still going to Margate therefore still to pass Hibberdene again. He refused. Just told me that I will pay the reconnection fee.

When you pay your bill in time, there's no problem's, but when your a bit late on payment, you are bul**** by just disconnecting you. Not charging extra interest like other places, and yet not giving you a full explanation on the logic of their billing system. They are ****** and we are forced to use their electricity as we are a business and we've been victimised by PEC Metering!!!

They don't treat you like a customer but your money is good enough to pay their salaries.

The consumption data for your shop over the past 11 months indicate that your average consumption has been constant, ranging between 320-440 kWh per month.
The possible reason for increases in your bill could be contributed to tariff increases. Approved by NERSA the Eskom tariffs increase annually on 1 April and will affect your account.
As per our records no disconnection took place in June and the disconnection charges will be credited, these credits will be effected on your August account.
Unfortunately credit control charges are levied automatically on unpaid/short paid accounts. To avoid future credit control charges to your account please take special note of the payment due date, if payments are received on or before the due date then no credit control charges will be levied.
Please note that your last two payments to PEC was received after the due date. There were also short payments over the past couple of months.
Your cooperation in keeping your account current will be much appreciated.
