They 100% ***** money. I can't explain it any other way.

Same as many others on here. Moved into my house May 2019

Bills as of then: May: R800 (makes sense) June, girlfriend and I decided let's find out our theoretical maximum, ran aircon 4 hours on timer EVERY day, used tumble dryer incredibly frequently.

June bill: R1800. Yikes. But okay, makes sense. We went hard June so that's fine. July we decided we'll use tumble dryer once every two weeks. Ran aircon a total 1 hour in July period. July bill: R2,200 uhm okay... Going up, for some reason..?

August. We have by now cut off ALL tumble dryer usage (I even covered the door latch so we physically can't use it). For testing purposes we moved to a laundromat for all clothes washing purposes for this month. Aircon usage: ZERO. Not, a SINGLE, SECOND. Electric stove? Switched to gas. Not a single second of electric stove NOR oven was used. August bill: R2,400. Okay hold the ******* phone.

I am. 1,000,000,000 (billion)% sure this company is *****ing money, or placing some sort of tapping device on your line. You can of course have it tested for R600 but guess what, if it's not faulty (and how om God's green earth will I know if it is or isn't, how easy will it be for them to just say "nope. It's fine."?) you pay the bill.

My entire complex is now going to be put to the vote and we will get rid of this utter hogs#!t piece of trash, useless and most likely ******* f****** company.
