Poor service poor product

Late last night my water was cut, I bought more just to find the ****py handset they supp**** was dead, only used it 12 times and it dead already, claim they can only look at warranty tomorrow morning (2 days no water, toilet or shower) then dared to ask why I didn't use their 24h on the unit, THERE IS NO NUMBER THERE. Love to know how they will know if it's been opened as it has no seals. How hard is it just say bring it in and we will swop it out, no they prefer that I beg my neighbours for theirs and reprogram it, ***. The entire design is cheap and substandard why not just make the batteries accessible? Complaint was logged at 23h last night and they had my phone number, so the excuse of not knowing the serial number is *******, they could have just called.

Dear Mr Nisbet,

PEC takes note of your grievance placed on Hello Peter.  We have investigated the matter and confirm the following:

PEC did not cut your water; your unit is supp**** with water through a prepaid water meter. We highly advise consumers to regularly check their available credits on the prepaid meter at their residence to ensure that they do not run out of water/electricity. It is the consumer's responsibility to make sure that he/she has credits available on the meter and to have a spare token on hand for emergencies.

Furthermore, we have found that our office (Leandre Page) has responded to your query with regards to the faulty hand-held device and kindly asked for your assistance to provide her with the serial number at the back of the hand-held device so that she can confirm the warranty status. These devices get swapped around by the residents and rental agents and PEC therefore need to confirm the serial number before taking further action. Our office received the serial number at 15:10 on the 28th of March and started the process to get the hand-held device replaced, feedback was provided to yourself at 16:02 via WhatsApp and arrangements were made to swap the handheld device with the faulty one at our offices the morning of 29 March. At 08:27 on the 29th of March PEC was informed that you can’t make it to our office and that we need to arrange for the keypad to be delivered to your residence in Buh Rein Estate. All parties agreed that the new hand-held device will be delivered on the 29th of March at 18:00. The hand-held device was delivered.

We do however, would like to apologize for not getting the replacement of the hand-held device done as quickly as expected and please accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience caused.

Do not hesitate to contact our offices if you have any further questions.
