Poor service-accounts!
It is mind blowing that I am being told to pay a balance from the previous account holder. I did not sign an agreement and did not even have an account with PEC, currently there is no service i.e. (no water or electricity) but I am being charged for what exactly? and I am being told to pay what the previous account holder owed, how do you enforce a contract I did not sign? This ridiculers! ticket PT***

17 Jan 2025, 12:34Good day Melody,
As the registered owner of the unit at Green Creek (with the property having been transferred into your name on 26 October 2022), we wish to address an outstanding issue concerning the tenant who allegedly vacated the unit on 31 December 2024.
Unfortunately, no official vacating documentation was provided until 14 January 2025, preventing us from closing the wallet on 31 December 2024. As a result, the daily basic charge of R9.98 (as per the City of Tshwane tariff structure) continues to accrue on the unit's wallet, even though the unit is vacant. Please note, this charge applies whether the unit is occupied or vacant, and the owner is responsible for the charges in the case of vacancy.
Furthermore, should a new tenant move in, any outstanding debt on the unit's wallet must be settled by the owner (you) before a new wallet can be opened in the new tenant's name. As of now, no new tenant application forms have been received, and our records show the unit as still vacant, with debt continuing to accumulate daily.
We believe that your rating may not reflect the quality of service provided, but rather a misunderstanding of municipal tariffs. If you have any additional questions, please contact our Customer Service team on ***. We’re happy to assist!
