Pec is ripping people off

This utility company is ripping people off I'm not sure if it is with faulty electricity meters because our bill is over 1k every month but the only stuff we have on is our fridge and we only switch our geyser on 1 hour per day , on we make sure we switch off our lights when we not in a particular room, we've done this but yet still our bill is high we don't have a TV or any other thing that's draining the electricity, does anyone know what we can do to hold this company accountable

Dear Mr Bestman  Your post on Hello Peter refers.  Your meter readings and consumption details are included on your monthly invoices, along with the corresponding billing period. Please note that certain months may have a longer reading period, which could result in a higher account balance. Your consumption is calculated and based on the applicable domestic tariffs from the City of Cape Town. If your meter were faulty, it would not have registered any consumption. To ensure transparency, our accounts department will provide you with a photo of your next meter reading in February 2025.   Kind regards Z Hough CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT
