Extremely disappointed with PEC Metering Utilities
I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by PEC Metering Utilities. Despite acknowledging that they sent the statement to the wrong email address, my electricity was disconnected without the legally required 14 days notice as per the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) and the Municipal Systems Act. Despite repeatedly requesting a statement and making payment as soon as I received it, PEC Metered Utilities levied a bill of R1140 to my account to increase my deposit amount and cut my power. I will be reporting this matter to NERSA and seeking legal advice.
