Pay Right Now - Not Pay Just Now

I signed up with Pay Just Now a while ago. Upon registration you were asked which day your instalment should be paid and whether by debit order or direct transfer. I chose my instalment date, together with direct transfer (not a debit order). I have always kept the account up to date and often would pay my account up in less than the stipulated 3 months. I have however, more than once, had the frustration of Pay Just Now, randomly trying to debit my account (not a monthly occurrence, not consistently debiting my account) on certain months before the chosen instalment date or on the given date. I did not select this option, I pay monthly, by transfer, as per the date selected when signing up. I was not in arrears! This leads to failed debit orders, which leads to additional banking fees and it negatively affects my credit score. I have contacted their customer service more than once to query this random act that happens ever so often, and I always get a lack lustre response. I have even been levied a penalty by them and they couldn’t explain the charge to me. It again happened at the end of September 2022 upon which I paid up my account and asked them to close it, since it’s an ongoing, random battle I just don’t have time to fight, since clearly their staff don’t know how to manage accounts and how payment arrangements work or even simple math. My account was closed, but I received no apology, no plan from them on how to improve their service and prohibit this from happening. They are eternally happy to take your money, even without a debit order authorisation or the account being in arrears, but don’t have any decency to look into their failing customer service and IT departments. Was very excited when I joined, as it’s a great idea, but unfortunately my experience had left me *****ed. I don’t trust them… they are messing up my credit score and therefore my potential future!
