Excellent App but Terrible Late Fee Policy

I want to start by saying that the app itself is fantastic. It's easy to use, works well, and the "buy now, pay later" service is processed exactly as it says it will be. When everything goes smoothly, the experience is great. However, I cannot in good faith recommend this service to anyone who might, for any reason, have a small chance of missing a payment. Their late fees are absolutely ridiculous and excessive. When I missed a payment, a late fee was added on immediately, with no warning. I do understand that I was late, and I accept that there are late fees, but this was due to circumstances that were completely out of my control. I sent an email to customer support to explain the situation and ask for help. While I was waiting for their reply, which took a few days, they added on another late fee. I was trying to resolve the issue, but they penalized me again while I was in communication with them. In the end, I was told that they do not waiver late fees and that they were completely unwilling to help. Now I'm stuck paying more than double my original installment. I will pay off my balance, but I will never use this service again. Their lack of transparency and unwillingness to help a customer, even when they're actively trying to resolve an issue, is unacceptable.
