Paid traffic fines via PayCity, a month later still not cleared, can’t renew license

I strongly advise people to avoid using PayCity for traffic fines.

PayCity emailed me about outstanding traffic fines. I paid the fines through their link over a month ago, and to this day the fines are still not cleared with the traffic department. This has now blocked me from renewing the vehicle license because the system still shows outstanding fines.

After I followed up, one of their admin staff told me to go to the traffic department to resolve it myself, even though I paid PayCity directly. They then requested proof of payment, which I sent immediately. Despite that, nothing has been resolved and I’m still sitting with the same problem.

I don’t understand how municipalities continue allowing a third party to collect fines when there are so many complaints about payments not reflecting.
