********* PATHCARE CLAIMS

After scrutinising my husband’s medical statements, I was shocked to note that Pathcare depleted his Medical Savings in one foul sweep - all at once. On enquiring from his medical aid, it came to light that this Astronomical amount from his MSA, was for treatment that was supposedly done on 5 Feb 2018 as 'Out of Hospital' patient. 'Treatment date: 5/2/2018 @ R945.20 times 7 = R6,616.40 PROBLEM… Never has any ‘out of Hospital’ test been done on the treatment date stated? No test required or requested by his Dr on this date. (Any in hospital tests where duly authorised by medical aid at time he was admitted to hospital – and subsequently settled from In Hospital benefits) So Pathcare, how dare you de***** the medical aid? And how can you in good conscious deplete a patient’s MSA? For treatment that was NOT DONE? De*****ing the system? Money Greedy? NO regard for the consequence of your actions to patients?? How does this happen??
