Good Morning,
My mother was hospitalised 7 times in the past two years and eventually diagnosed with a Chronic Bone Marrow Condition.
This results in several blood tests each time while in hospital and emergency blood transfusions. She is also monitored between hospital stays for this Chronic Oncology Condition.
Several times, while in hospital, the incorrect details were used by Pathcare on their invoices to the medical aid (with my surname against her first name). I've made several calls and send a whole lot of communication in this regard when payment was rejected by the medical aid due to this error.
Now my mother who is elderly and frail is getting final demands for invoices dating back to October 2017 and we are told that this is going to be handed over to a lawyer.
Pathcare recently (after a call from me) send an email to the medical aid with invoices involved but once again the medical aid rejected it due to duplication of invoices. Pathcare is also sitting with credit amounts on my mother's account to be paid back to the medical aid.
I feel that Pathcare surely also received rejection of payment advices from the medical aid (over the past 2 years) and why was this problem allowed to now date back to October 2017. Why wasn't this followed up by Pathcare if their invoices submitted to the medical aid was rejected?
I'm at my witt's end with this problem and don't know what must be done further from my side? At the moment I am not even getting a response from 2 Senior employees at Pathcare who I've been corresponding with regarding the ongoing problem on my mother's Pathcare account.
I will appreciate your assistance with this matter. It is enough that we had to deal with the stress of 7 hospital episodes to have to also deal with this added aggravation of an account not being handled properly??
Kind Regards.
