Pathetic Pathcare

Went to Cape Gate hospital to get blood work requested by Dr done. We ask at reception whether they are open. The reception desk confirmed that they were open. We went through the sanitizing, temp check and scanning process. Get to the Path care unit, lights on, clients sit there and then we were told they are closed. Because it is braaidag. Yes, braaidag. So we asked but how so, reception said they were open. The lady just persistently said come back another time. We are actually closed. We walked out and lo and behold the Ampath group has a branch over the corridor. This lady immediately listened and agreed to do blood work. She was professional, friendly and no nonsense about braai dag. Pathcare will not see me again. Thank you AMPATH - what a pleasure to be assisted - we left with a smile!!!!
