Pathcare is maliciously ***********!

If I could give this company negative stars I would. This is not the first or second or even fifth time I have had a negative experience with Pathcare. Their accounts department is ridiculous and thinks nothing of handing their clients over to be harassed by debt collectors. Pathcare has made no effort to query a shortfall for payment of inpatient pathology services for my now deceased grandfather. They have however seen fit to allow debt collection agencies to harass my grandmother about a bill that was incorrectly processed. If they had communicated the short payment of the bill, the medical aid could have been contacted and it would have been resolved, as it is now in the process of being. The treatment date was 28/12/2021 but yet no one sent an sms, email or made a phone call to inform us of the issue. They were able to swiftly provide the debt collector with our details however. I spoke to their accounts department and the reasons given for lack of communication was that my dying grandfather was unable to provide an email address to them at the time of the tests being done, also apparently my grandmother has not being answering her landline calls, which is a complete inaccuracy since she has not received any such calls and is now contactable by the debt collector on the same number. They also said that the cell phone number they have for her is unreachable. It is not a cellphone number that any of us recognize. Even so, this is a very poor excuse and other methods of communication do exist, such as registered mail or attempting to gather relevant information from the hospital. I guarantee that they would have been able to reach someone, as all necessary contact information has been provided and is on record at the hospital administration. Pathcare is truly disgusting, this is not the first time that they have harassed and abused their clients for errors in processing. Avoid them at all costs!
