Dishonest, *********, unacceptable accounts and billing practices

I am not the only victim of this. Pathcare did not send me a bill and then years later I was harassed, harangued and threatened with legal action by Vericred, a collections agency to whom they had sold my debt.

This is only legal if you have attempted to send a bill to me. I did not receive a bill. I used the service and was told it would be claimed from my medical aid, so I did not even know to expect a bill.

So what Pathcare did is *******, to begin with. But now that they have sold my debt to Vericred, I have no legal recourse.

I then contacted Pathcare to rectify this and in 2017 I settled my bill in full with Pathcare directly, with the agreement that I would no longer be contacted by Vericred, since I am now debt-free.

Now, three years later, Vericred has started to harass me, invade my privacy by contacting me on a private work email address that they were never supp**** with and threatened me with legal action again. Phoning me at all hours of the day and then adding R20 to the bill every time they leave a voicemail.

They obviously want to scare me into paying because after 3 years they can no longer legally claim it anymore.

This never should have happened, and if it affects my credit score then I will initiate legal proceedings against Pathcare.
