blood type info should be saved permanently

I am shocked to find out i have done a blood test at path care to see what my blood type is and they have done it nou i got a new Job and the company wants proof of my blood type when i phoned path care they said they don't have it because they delete all information that is older then 5 years to me this is a real big problem what will happen if i get into an accident and i need blood where will the hospital get my blood type in time while im bleeding out . I am forced to go do a blood test again . This looks like n money making strategy
