TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM PARTSERVE
I am extremely dissatisfied with the Lenovo S145 i5 Laptop I bought from Hi-Fi Corporation, as well as the lack of service I am getting from Hi-Fi Corporation & Partserve (the Lenovo service centre). I bought the laptop on 3 Jan'2020 in Bloemfontein (on a business trip) but I stay in Cape Town. From the first day the track pad was giving issues. After 10 days the laptop started freezing up and it was almost impossible to get anything done on it. I took it to Hi-Fi corporation at Willow Bridge (Bellville) on 14 Jan'2020, where I was told that they cannot refund me, it must be sent away for assesment (even though the slip states that they would refund within 14 days if the product is faulty). According to them it would be a long process as the laptop would be picked up in about 5 days, then assessed and then returned after another 5 days. They said I am welcome to take it to the repair centre in Montaque Gardens myself as this would speed up the process. (Hi-Fi Corporation seems to abdicate their responsibility and took no further interest in my problem) I took it to Partserve immediately and was told it would take 2-3 working days for assessment, I should know by Friday 17 Jan'2020. I did not hear anything from them until I phoned them on 23 Jan'2020....I spoke to Natasha from Partserve, and she asked if I got the quote for the repair as the driver is faulty. I said I am not willing to pay for the repair, as firstly I WANT A REFUND, and secondly how can I be charged for someting that is wrong with a product that is 10 days old! She said they won't be able to refund me, but she will phone me back. She phoned me later with GREAT news (according to her) as they wont be charging me for the repair, but she will let me know when they are done with the repair. I told her again that I want a refund as I am unhappy with the quality of the R7500-laptop and I have no faith left in the product, so she said they will fix the driver and then test the hardware again before deciding if they can refund me. It is now Monday, 27 Jan'2020 and I had to phone her again, but the laptop is still not fixed/assessed. Gives me the impression that it's a big issue to fix, and that I have reason to be concerned about the quality of the product. Not to mention the inconvenience of being without a laptop for so long. I am an area manager in retail and busy with stocktakes and I NEED a laptop to do my wor**** This is really unacceptable!!! I bought a trustworthy brand from a trustworthy business (OR SO I THOUGHT!!!!) but have been treated like ****. I will NEVER buy a LENOVO, or shop from HI-FI CORPORATION EVER AGAIN!!!! Someone needs to contact me urgently to arrange a refund or I WILL be taking this further!!!!!
