If you want a pleasent experience do not use Partserve

I have an Epson printer that needed a head replaced and seeing as Partserve are the only agents authorised to do so in South Africa I gave them a call. We were told that they had heads in stock and all we needed was to bring in the machine to get a final quote (should take 2 days according to them). We waited a week and after many phone calls (only way I get hold of them was to talk to sales to get any response as support was NEVER AVAILABLE) and eventually got the quote and paid. THEN we were told that there was no stock of the printhead and would only be available in mid March. I then demanded my money back as I said this was unacceptable. I get my printer back from them and it does not switch on, I phone Bridgette from the CPT branch and tell her this, she says bring it in and we will check it out. Unfortunately when my driver took the machine back he spilled some waste ink on the machine and according to Partserve this caused the main board to go. It wasn't working when it came back with no ink spilled. I then started reading all the bad reviews to Bridgette on HelloPeter and she got her back up. I REALLY need to warn anyone away from them as this is what happens when only one company has the rights to do any repairs on most computers / printers in this country. I can only hope that Epson etc start really looking at this problem. I will only buy parts from overseas now and not support any locals channels as it not viable.
