Paratus is the worst internet provider in South Africa

Stay very far away from this company. Horrible customer service and horrible internet connection. Our account was suspended in March 2025 after months of back and forth trying to get them to sort our internet out. We were paying R 799 for a 10mbps uncapped line which by that time rarely reached 1 mbps ever. Our 24 month contract was long over by then and we were on a month to month option with equipment our property by that time. Today, the 26th of August 2026 we get an account from a lawyer saying we owe them equipment rental and a years worth of data payments going until end of Nov 2025 when our line has long ago been suspended. Phoned Paratus and was promised to be called back immediately. No call came still. And sitting with thousands of Rands of equipment that cannot be used. Just horrible
