Beware of hiring a vehicle, it might be your last

If you are considering renting a vehicle from Pace Car Rental BEWARE!! They might be the cheapest but they provide you with unroadworthy vehicles. I rented a Hyundai H1 for two weeks in December to go to the Kruger National Park, after 1 week we had a flat Tyre right front. We took the flat Tyre off and found that the Tyre was worn right through the canvass into the steel lining. We then checked the other front Tyre SAME THING!. I then had to drive to Komatipoort to Lani Tyres, spent the whole morning having to fit two new tyres and having wheel alignment done to this rented vehicle. When I phoned Pace Car Rental to complain, as we could have had a serious accident or blow out with all our family on board. The lady Noku said she was sorry but it is also the responsibility of the client to check the tyres before taking the vehicle. What *******! By the way the checklist signed by Pace Rental confirming the tyres were checked and ticked off as in all good order. Just another tick in the box exercise as it is evident no checks were done and they run their fleet as cheaply as possible - even if it means clients lives colid be at stake. Will never use Pace Car Rental Again.
