Appalling service

<p>I called Oxbridge academy fees department yesterday as I was directed to them for the cancellation of my course. I spoke to 2 of their student adviser who were very rude and unhelpful. They advised me that they will not assist me in cancelling my course their policy stipulates that a student is only allowed to cancel within the 30 days cooling off period after registration, after the cooling off period there is no cancellation they bind you to pay the full course regardless of whether you are still in use of their services or not. I them asked to speak to a manager in that department as the student advisers were not giving me any joy as they couldn’t explain the reasons why my rights as a student are being negated. The manager was equally rude as the advisers she was never giving me a chance to speak my mind she also couldn’t explain the reason why my rights as a student were not being taken into consideration. She advised that I am still liable to pay the fees, I asked her to provide me with her email address and she decided to give me an incorrect address. She advised that I need to fill in the cancellation form that was sent to me by one of the student advisors and return it they will then refer it to the board to make a decision on whether they are cancelling or declining. I then sent my request today she read but never acknowledged the receipt of my email, only after sending a follow up email that’s when she decided to reply to my mail. I doubt that my request will be re-directed to the correct people judging from the bad service provided by the manager and the student advisors.</p> <p>I believe that as a student I have the right to cancel the course with the institution before the agreed expiry date. I am also aware that the cancellation charge may not have the effect of negating my rights to cancel the agreement. As this is prohibited by the Consumer Protection Regulations Act.</p> <p> </p>
