Poor Serivce

I purchased a Google Nexus 5 last year, in May, as of two weeks ago the phone is faulty, it took a week of emailing to finally get a return request.

I was then told I need to send the device to their HQ in JHB, at my cost. (I am in Cape Town) I fail to see why something that is under warranty needs ME to pay to return it to THEM.

Furthermore its plainly ridiculous to then tell the customer it would take 30 WORKING days to the either repair or refund. Considering most people cannot be without a phone for 3 days never mind 30!

Considering my generally very positive purchase experience with Orange this is hugely disappointing.

Hello Jacques355,

Thank you for your comment,

Sorry to hear that your Nexus developed a fault after 9 months of use, they're normally pretty strong devices :)

Unfortunately you do need to return your device to us within the warranty period, pretty much in the same way if you had purchased it from a physical shop and you would then need to return the product back to that shop.

We will return the device back to you once repaired at our expense of course,

Concerning our turnaround time, we strive together with our repair partners to have repairs turned around within 7 working days but this is dependant on availability of parts and other variables.

We could look to assist you with a loan device in the interim, please get in touch with us via e-mail : *** should you wish to do so.

We're sorry that your positive experience is becoming disappointing, we'd really like to keep it positive where we can.

Kind Regards,

Orange South Africa
