Orange SA Breachining SA CPA Act

I have a Nokia 930 phone which developed a screen problem within 6 months of purchase.

Microsoft/Nokia local wont touch it as they consider this a \grey"product. I sent in the phone on an RMA document as mandated by Orange South Africa and shipped the phone (at my cost) to their JHB repair facility. Its been there since 28 August.

They reported back that the phone was indeed faulty and indicate that they would repair it but couldn't supply a date. I then requested that according to SA consumer law"

Hello cferraz,

Thank you for your comment,

We're sorry to learn of your device developing a fault, there's no need to worry as all products sold by us are supported for up to 12 months from date of receipt.

We can assure you that we adhere to the regulatory impacts of the CPA but also the ECT Act which is more relevant for e-commerce transactions.

We only make use of approved service partners (where available) to carry out repairs so that you receive your device back as intended.

We offer a 7 Day DOA policy which allows you to request a replacement or refund for a device which develops a fault within this period. In addition, we allow 14 days for a Change of mind in the event the device does not fit your desired purpose.

Outside of the above, all products have a minimum 6 month warranty (unless otherwise specified). In the event your device has experienced an unsuccessful repair and is sent in for repair for the second time, you're eligible to receive a replacement or refund.

We hope that clarifies for you but we'd like to request that you get in tocuh with us directly if you have any further need for information.

E-mail :***

Kind Regards,

Orange South Africa
