Incompetence par excellence
I dropped my device purchased from the Orange store and damaged the screen. I contacted Orange in order for it to be repaired.
I was informed that if the repair was not done within 30 days of receipt by Orange (acknowledged date of receipt on 16 May) that I would be entitled to a new replacement device. There was minimal progression on the repair and I followed up numerous times and finally found out that the device was transferred to a local repair centre around 26 May 2015.
Again, I had to follow up and finally got a quote for the repair on 1 June and I immediately authorised the repair. I brought up the question on delayed nature of the repair and I was informed the goal post have shifted, the 30 day period begins when the phone is transferred to a repair centre.
Once again I had chase after Orange for a status update and how to pay for the repair .On 12 June, after much tussling - I was to pay the repair centre directly. They informed even if I pay immediately, the phone will only be available at the end of June.
I told Orange this will be well out of both 30 days period and I was informed this period does not apply to me!
I have been **** to and delayed beyond reasonable limit
