Be warned dear reader. They are quick to sell, then the problems begin

I bought a Samsung phone from Orange.

Then it broke. The screen just cracked (so called "indestructable screen". The phone just restarts. Samsung do not want to assist as the phone is seen as grey. The feedback from a very arrogant reading Orange is to take it to some dealer in Cape Town (some 2000km away from me) as they see it it as not warranty related.

Not at all any attempt to investgigate. Just plain arrogance, The call was just also closed one sided with no time to respond. Lesson to anybody wanting to use them. STAY AWAY, they problems start afterwards!

Hello Christo,
Thank you for your comment,
Sorry to hear of the issue you have encountered with your device. Screen damage is not something usually covered under a manufacturer warranty and is usually referred to as "Customer Negligence". Certain manufacturers may offer a value added service to cover screen damage on certain models, we do specify which of the models we stock have this service vs which do not. There is also usually a difference in price that can be found.
We are able to assist you with having your device assessed and/or quoted on by an approved repair partner, however our Customer Service agents will advise that it can be quicker for you to attend to the process yourself as it avoids the delays that can occur with transit from yourself, back to us, to the repair partner etc...
You can be assured there are no problems that occur after purchase, you have mentioned your screen has cracked, this occurs most likely due to customer negligence, we don't have any role in this :)
Should you wish for us to assist in getting your device assessed and, if applicable quoted on, we are glad to do so.
