From booked to cancelled without explanation

I made an appointment for my daughter for an eyetest. They advertise R99 for the eyetest, R400 deposit and R 350 x 6 months. I am unemployed at the moment and thought that would be a good option, since you can pay it off. What they don't tell you is that they want 3 month bank statements. Since I can't give them statements cos I'm not working they cancelled the appointment. Without even asking if I could afford to pay for the specs, maybe I could've paid cash. They just assume you can't pay cos you're bank statements don't show a steady income. With no explanation whatsoever.
