******* billing
After receiving a very high vodacom bill, I saw that opera telecom was billing me R50.00 per day for using something called VIDFUN. <br> Vodacom cannot or will not supply proof that I authorised these deductions and gave me a phone number that doesn't exist and referred me to Opera telecoms website, which defaults to something called Oxygen 8 boasting a turnover of in excess of GBP 90 Million. Not bad for ************! Vodacom did at least cancel my phantom subscription and I have a reference number for that. I did receive an SMS on the 24th march reminding me of a VIDFUN subscription but as I had never heard of them I ignored the SMS as I do all other spam. Then on 8th April I received another SMS telling me that the VIDFUN subscription had been cancelled. Again I ignored until I saw the vodacom account. Operatelecom claim they are only a subscription service and only activate subscriptions for their clients. It appears that the **** starts far down the line, but ultimately Vodacom need authorisation from me to debit my account, which is not forthcoming. I am now escalating the matter with Vodacom. Operatelecom gave me an email address [Email Removed] to also write to.
