Worst Insurance company

Just avoid this company. Mid 2023 I emailed them after heavy rains caused flooding and damage to my flooring at my front door. NEVER got a response. In Nov 2023 my mains were tripping when ever I turned the geyser on, they sent a electrician who said it was a burst geyser. I had to call them again to send a plumber on a Saturday. Plumber had to break a hole in my ceiling to fit the new geyser in and damaged my floor. They submitted the damage to Ooba but no one ever got back to me about it. I emailed Ooba and got NO RESPONSE. I call them multiple times but can never get through. Finally get through and they book a builder to come out on the 20th Dec. I take the day off of work and the builder never arrives. I call Ooba and they schedule an appointment with a new builder. The builder arrives, takes measurements and I never hear from them again.

On the 21st December i receive a mail from Ooba Please note that we allocated the service provider to assist you with the damages and they advised that they wont be able to assist, we are in a process of finding another service provider for you. Feedback received will be communicated with you and the next steps which will follow.

I reply asking if they are referring to the builder they sent already. I get NO RESPONSE.

I hear nothing from Ooba, until the 21 Jan 2024. Katlego Mokoena mails me to tell me my claim has been rejected. I phone to get feedback on this. They tell me that someone will call me back.

Today 25th Jan. I have not heard back from Ooba. I phone them again and they seem to have no idea about the geyser that was installed and tell my my electrical claim was rejected. I tell them that they sent a plumber and I need a builder. They say they will investigate and get back to me.

I still have a giant hole in my ceiling and my floor is still damaged. This company just takes your money and supplies zero customer service.

Dont use them

On the 31st of January, Ooba send me an email about the previously mentioned rejected claim for electrical work.

They still have not contacted me regarding the hole in the ceiling that the plumber made when they send him to replace the geyser. They still have not contacted me about the damaged floor.

They just send the same automated message to their customers on Hello Peter but don't actually contact them in person to sort out the problems!

I called Ooba now. Gave them my ID number and they immediately put me on hold. I've now been on hold for over 10 minutes. When they finally came back to me they said they would call me back with feedback. I asked to be put through to the supervisor and I was cut off.

I called back, another 10 mins on hold. They still have no idea that they sent a plumber to my house. They are still going on about an electrician. I never put in a claim for an electrician.
Someone from Ooba needs to phone me today. This is pathetic
