Useless OOBA home insurance

I bought a house in December 2022 OOBA homeloans assisted me obtaining a homeloan through Standard bank.In April 2023 with the first rain fall I noticed that it is raining in I contacted OOBA insurance with the claim only to have them send out a assessor to check the extend of the damage. I did not get any feedback and had to call again to enquire how far the claim is only to be told that the insurance are not covering my claim due to poor maintenance.I explained that the house was bought in December and in December I took out the claimso it's too soon to expect that the roof will be in a state to be fixed I told the insurance that they are also supposed to assess the house before taking my insurance.i feel that OOBA is failing me I get no value for my money so no use having this OOBA insurance they are also not covering as any claims due to electric surge after loadshedding.
