Rejected building insurance claim

I took an Ooba Building Insurance, underwritten by Hollard in 2018, on the 21 January 2020 it was raining in PE and my carport fell on top of my car. I lodged my claim with Ooba, and on the 24th February they rejected my claim. Mpume from Hollard told me that their assessor said my carport "was old an rotten and the structure was not built according to standard". What's funny is that Ooba never did any assessment prior to the commencement of my insurance, I believe that had they done that, they would have seen that my house was "old", and maybe refuse to insure it. I'm still waiting for their rejection letter, so that I can appeal.
