Pathetic service
I will never recommend OOBA insurance to any home Owner. We had them for almost 12 years, made only one claim for our geyser & when we tried to make a claim this year about a leaking garage roof, it was rejected. Firstly they took there time about coming out to assess & then we were told the roof is out responsibility. When asked for a report as to why the claim was rejected we were given the run around, over a month & still no report. Pathetic is putting it lightly, I have since terminated my contract

We confirm that after our investigation with the Insurers that the following transpired:
Claim was intimated on 15/10/2019 although damages were reported to have happened 01/10/2019.
According to the Assessor, the property has porous membrane waterproofing and very poor ventilation which has caused the walls/ceiling/garage wall etc. to blister and bad mold has been formed over a period of time as well as the bedroom skirting which is rotten due to ongoing plumbing problems.
There are no signs of any storm or wind damage caused to the property.
We left a message for you to return our call as well as sent an e-mail with an extensive explanation.
We strive to do our utmost to look for reasons to pay a claim but in this instance there was no insured peril which existed.
