OOBA Insure

Do not EVER use Ooba Insure!!!! they are the worst and refuse to pay out any claims!

Tried claiming in April 2021 for flood damage to a damaged sewage pipe upon querying they refused to pay saying that it was MY FAULT (yes, I am causing excess rain which leads to flooding), I informed them that if it rains again the pipe will wash away, low and behold that did happen in June 2022. I put through a claim, and they say they can't pay because it is MY FAULT!!!! I showed them the problem and the loss adjusters( BroLink - Bear in these guys are only there to rip people off as they are interested in helping customers and they refuse to give you the report!! I am paying the insurance, so I am entitled to the report!!!) took the claim through all the relevant channels and Ooba assisted me with nothing whatsoever! the raw sewage was leaking in the stream leading to the informal settlement nearby and they refused to take that into consideration as well, eventually with a joint effort with the municipality the matter was fixed.

Made a claim today for another waste pipe and in within 2 hours it was declined stating it was MY ISSUE yet again!!!! we are living in the house for just over 2 years and most of these issues are pre existing but Ooba fails to acknowledge that!!!! they offer no help or alternative assistance at all!!!

I wish I never took the insurance with them as I personally feel their goal is to not pay out!
