OOBA Insurance - OOBA Gangsters!!
For the second time a claim has been rejected for the same reason "wear and tear". I would like to see some sort of proof that the pieces of equipment that failed is due to wear and tear, and not just OOBA's go to answer when things go wrong. Premiums are always paid in full and no returns seen for this "insurance". This is like buying a ****** with a hole in it!! Great help guys!!!
OOBA insurance should consider changing their name to OOBA gangsters!!!

We have been informed that the bearings on the swimming pool pump have ceased due to normal wear and tear and over a period of time.
The claim is therefore rejected and the formal letter has been e-mailed to you.

17 Jun 2020, 10:40In the meantime I had someone come over and take apart the swimming pool pump, only to find a piece of rubble trapped in the impeller. Pump was repaired in +- 30 mins. Bearings are fine and running as always. As I stated before, wear and tear is the go-to answer, and no effort is put into finding the real cause.
Further to the above, I have cancelled my cover with Ooba and is now covered by Auto and General, who is not only cheaper but offer better cover. For cheaper than the original cover with Ooba, I have now included my home contents as well.
The day before I cancelled with Ooba, I had a burst water pipe at my house, which I had to pay for myself as I was told that Ooba do not cover water pipes under ground?? What other type of water pipes are there, when regulation states all water pipes must be installed at least 500mm under ground?? The amount of pipe left is so small that the chance of Ooba having to repair anything is not worth the premium. Auto and General on the other hand cover ALL water pipes from the meter all the way to where they may lead.
Anyone considering insurance with your company really needs to read the fine print, as all the promises over the phone turns into non-cover when the time comes.
I have never been happier that I do not have to deal with your excuse riddled company any longer.
