Extremely Poor Service – Avoid Ooba at All Costs

I would like to publicly highlight the unacceptable service I’ve received from Ooba. Based on my experience, I would Not recommend this insurance company to anyone.

1. Claim Delays, Poor Communication/ No Communication. 2. Looking for excesses not to approve claims. Please bare in mind we have only moved in the property end July 2024. My claim(OOBA385857) submitted 22 October 2024 after server storm that cause havoc in Port Elizabeth 21 October 2024. Assessor was only sent out to my house to do an assessment 3 December 2024 after I have on Nemours accounts had to call, email the call center. they promise to contact you but never does. Upon the arrival of the assessor December already I already made up my mind that I will start the process to get my property ready as Christmas was fast approaching. I have requested all audio recordings, emails so that I can take it up with relevant complaints department. Despite numerous emails and phone calls, I received little to no response. The assessor, took photos of property. I have raised concerns' regarding the delays and also noted in emails that delay tactics are busy unfolding. Poor maintenance reason for claim being rejected. Damage report full of errors. 1. Wrong address. 2.Selected notes made. 3.Not once mentioned my garage roller door was damage due to the influx of water becoming like a river. 4. No mention of windows lacking. 5. Newly painted walls damage.
